Account Deletion Requests

You can schedule removal of your Bizzy account from Settings > Privacy > Danger Zone.

Before You Schedule Deletion

Account deletion has significant consequences after the cooling-off period ends:

  • Marketplace activity — Listings, saved listings, buyer criteria, seller profile details, and related workflow data are removed, hidden, anonymized, or retained only as needed for legal, security, audit, or dispute reasons.
  • Messages, blocks, and reports — Your account loses normal messaging access while deletion is pending. Already-shared messages may remain visible to the other participant. Message reports, moderation cases, finite outcomes, restriction events, and content-free access/audit records may be retained with the anonymized account anchor where needed for safety, legal, audit, or dispute reasons. Deletion does not promise to erase another participant's copy of shared history.
  • Diligence links and NDAs — Seller-configured external diligence links are removed. Signed NDA evidence, signature records, and access-decision records may be retained where needed to preserve access history, enforce signed NDAs, or meet legal and security obligations.
  • Deal workflow notes — Private seller/broker notes, legacy workflow reminder text, and direct external-contact details are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer permitted to remain. Compact non-PII workflow and access-audit metadata may be retained where needed for legal, security, audit, or dispute reasons.
  • Product analytics — You can separately opt out of account-level product analytics from Settings > Privacy before scheduling deletion.

If you have active listings, buyer conversations, message reports, signed NDAs, or pending deal activity, consider resolving those items before scheduling deletion. Archiving a conversation only hides it from your inbox; it is not deletion of shared history. Blocking another account stops communication while the accounts remain active but does not erase messages or create a report.

How Self-Service Deletion Works

Bizzy requires fresh authentication, an exact typed confirmation, and an acknowledgement before scheduling deletion. Scheduling records the request immediately, locks normal product activity, signs out other active sessions, and starts a 7-day cooling-off period. After that period, Bizzy's scheduled deletion processor automatically handles due requests; requests that encounter retention or cleanup problems move to explicit failure or manual-review states. Bizzy sends a request notice when account email delivery is configured.

You can cancel from the account-deletion status page while the request is still pending. Cancellation restores normal access when your account is otherwise active and sends a cancellation notice when account email delivery is configured.

There is no deletion-completion email after credentials are revoked.

Manual Review

Some requests may move to manual review instead of completing automatically, including retention exceptions, storage cleanup failures, legal or dispute needs, safety/moderation records, or administrator backstop checks. The 7-day cooling-off period is not a guaranteed full legal-request completion timeline.

Data Removal and Retention

When deletion completes, Bizzy removes or anonymizes profile data, marketplace content, saved listings, account-owned product rows, photos, private deal-workflow note bodies, direct external-contact details, and seller-configured external diligence links. Some records may be retained after account deletion, including audit logs, security events, account-deletion request history, email-verification events, NDA records, diligence-access history, access-decision audit records, billing or entitlement records, already-shared messages, message reports and moderation records, and records needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect users. See Privacy Policy and Data Security and Terms of Service for related retention language.
