Setting Up Your Profile
Your profile holds the account and seller details that Bizzy uses for marketplace workflows. A complete Seller Profile helps you prepare a listing for publication.
Accessing Your Profile
Go to Settings for account, public profile, and security settings. Buying and Selling are both always available from the navigation; nothing in Settings chooses one over the other. Set buyer preferences from Buying, then Preferences (/buying/preferences). The buyer editor includes your Purchase budget and Preferred listing price range. Everything other members can see about you lives on Settings, then Public profile (/settings?tab=profile): your public name, photo, organization, and, for sellers and owner representatives, the seller details. Your name, organization, and Seller Profile phone are shown on published web listing details; enter a phone number buyers may use directly. City/state appears on your published listings once set.
Profile Sections
- Account — Update your name and username in Settings. Your name is also your public name on Bizzy; it can be changed again after 30 days and cannot impersonate Bizzy staff. Your account email is set when you register and cannot be changed
- Public profile — Manage your photo, organization name and logo, and seller details from Settings, then Public profile. The tab shows a live preview of the seller profile buyers open from your listings. Everything on it is public: fill in what you want buyers to see, and clear a field to take it down
- Buying preferences — Set industries, locations, and your Preferred listing price range, the asking-price range Bizzy uses for marketplace filters and Bizzy Leads. In the full editor, each Purchase budget value is the fallback when its matching preferred listing price bound is not set.
- Seller details — On the same Public profile tab, sellers manage their public US phone number, city/state seller location, and optional professional introduction, plus the Show my email switch. Everything saves with one Save button; photos save as soon as they upload
- Security — Manage passkeys, verify your account email, and review login credentials in Settings
What to Set Up First
- Full name — This helps Bizzy keep your account identity complete
- Buying preferences — This helps sellers find you through Bizzy Leads
- Name — Your account name is shown to other Bizzy members where profile information appears, including on your published listings
- Avatar — Upload a professional photo. It appears in the navbar and on your published listings; remove it to take it down
- Organization — Optionally add your company or brokerage name and upload its logo. Both appear beside your name on your published listings as soon as they are saved, and you can clear them at any time. They are account-scoped and do not create shared organization membership
Roles
By default, new accounts have Buyer and Seller roles. Additional roles, such as Reviewer, can only be assigned by administrators. Your current roles are visible in your profile.
Privacy
Your username is never shown to other users — it is a private login credential. Your account name is the public identity used on listings. Bizzy has no separate business-email field: before publishing, you must verify your immutable account email and explicitly consent to show it as the seller contact email. You can withdraw that consent at any time; the email is removed from published listings while the listings stay live, but you cannot publish again until you consent.
Your professional introduction, avatar, city/state, and organization name and logo are shown on your published listings whenever they exist; clear them to stop showing them. Doing so does not affect whether a listing stays live. Your Seller Profile phone is shown in the seller profile buyers can open from your seller card on published web listing details, so buyers can call you directly while Bizzy messaging remains the primary listing action. It remains absent from marketplace cards, maps, SEO metadata, mobile responses, logs, and analytics. The seller location is a canonical US city and state, never a street address, exact address, or geocoding coordinates.
If you represent a business owner, your seller profile is still the profile used for listings in your Bizzy account. Read about representing a business owner before creating a represented listing.
