Sending Messages to Buyers and Sellers

Bizzy messaging keeps listing conversations in one buyer-seller workspace.

How to Start a Conversation

  1. Open an active listing and select Message seller
  2. Write a non-empty message on the new-conversation screen
  3. Select Send
  4. After the message is saved, the conversation opens and the recipient receives an in-app notification

Simply opening the compose screen does not create a conversation or place an empty row in either inbox. If a send is retried with the same message, Bizzy's retry protection returns the original send instead of creating a duplicate.

Messaging and NDAs Are Separate

You do not need to sign an NDA before messaging a seller. Messaging does not sign an NDA, request or approve diligence access, or unlock confidential listing details. Use the listing's Confidential diligence section for that separate workflow. Sellers may provide third-party document links there; Bizzy does not host or scan those files.

Using the Workspace

All conversations are on Messages and are organized by listing. On phones, a thread uses a focused full-height view with its composer anchored at the bottom. On larger screens, the conversation list and selected thread appear side by side. Older history loads in bounded pages. Draft text is kept only for the current account and browser tab until it is sent or cleared.

New messages can appear while a thread is open. The live connection may reconnect after a deployment, connection interruption, or about an hour; Bizzy refreshes from saved notification and message records when it reconnects, when the window regains focus, and periodically while the thread is visible.

Report, Block, and Archive

These choices have different effects:

  • Report a message — You can report a message you received, choose a reason, add optional details, mark an immediate-danger concern, and optionally choose Also block this user. Reports are reviewed in an admin moderation case. Reporting alone does not automatically block the account or guarantee a particular outcome. Bizzy is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
  • Block account — Blocking stops messages in both directions between the two accounts, including matched-buyer messages on other listings. It does not delete existing history and it does not automatically create a report.
  • Archive conversation — Archiving removes the conversation only from your inbox. It does not hide it for the other participant or stop them from messaging. A later authorized incoming message restores it to your inbox, and you can reopen the existing thread from the listing or an authorized direct link.

A conversation can also become read-only because of an account restriction, account deletion, or another system close. In that state, history may remain available even though sending is unavailable.

Buyer Match Messages

A Premium seller may contact you when Bizzy recommends your buyer profile as a match for a listing. The first message is labeled Buyer match message. Use the information icon beside that message to review seller-safe match signals such as budget fit, industry, target market, and timeframe. Private proof-of-funds and readiness details are not shown. Buyer match messages follow the same account block and messaging restriction rules and do not depend on NDA status.

Messaging Tips

  • Keep conversations on-platform for a consistent record
  • Be clear and specific about your interests or questions
  • Use the NDA-gated diligence workflow for confidential details and seller-managed external links
  • Do not send spam, threats, harassment, deceptive offers, or information you are not authorized to share
  • Reference relevant listing details without copying protected material
