Buyer recommendations for sellers

Bizzy recommends buyers to Premium sellers when a buyer's structured acquisition criteria fit a published listing. A recommended buyer appears as an ordinary buyer file. A recommendation is not a message from the buyer, a listing inquiry, or proof that the buyer expressed interest.

For Buyers: You Choose Whether Bizzy Recommends You

The Buyer Preferences you set under Buying personalize the businesses you browse. While Let Bizzy recommend me to sellers is on, they also let Bizzy recommend you to sellers: when a listing fits your preferences, its Premium seller may see your name as a recommended buyer and choose whether to contact you. The seller also sees why Bizzy recommended you: that you are looking in the listing's industry and area, and your acquisition timeframe. A recommendation does not mean you asked about that listing or expressed interest in it. Your budget, proof of funds, readiness details, and browsing activity are never shown to sellers.

The setting is on by default and sits at the top of Buyer Preferences, under Seller recommendations. When a seller messages you from a recommendation, your notification reads Bizzy recommended you to a seller, and the message is marked Bizzy recommended you to this seller, with a Manage visibility link to this setting. Turn it off and save to stop Bizzy recommending you:

  • Bizzy stops recommending you to sellers, and sellers can no longer message you from a recommendation.
  • Recommended-buyer files a seller never worked on are removed, along with the seller's New recommended buyer notification.
  • A file the seller already worked on—starred, given notes or a stage, follow-ups, or activity—or one for a listing where you already have a conversation or NDA request stays as the seller's record, without the option to message you from the recommendation.
  • It does not affect conversations you already have, or buyer files created when you message a seller or request NDA access yourself.

Turn it back on at any time. Bizzy then recommends you again the next time it finds you active and your preferences fit a listing.

How Recommended Buyers Become Buyer Files

When a published listing and a buyer meet Bizzy's eligibility criteria, Bizzy automatically creates a durable, listing-scoped buyer file for the seller. It appears in the ordinary List and Board views in Buyers, alongside buyer files created from messages, NDAs, and seller-added contacts. The file shows Source: Bizzy recommendation so you know how it began.

Bizzy only recommends buyers who have been active on Bizzy in the last two weeks, and it paces recommendations: each listing gets at most three new recommended buyers a day and holds at most ten the seller hasn't worked yet. Once the seller works one, room opens for the next. The first time Bizzy recommends a buyer for a listing, the seller gets one New recommended buyer notification that opens that buyer file. Bizzy does not announce the same buyer for the same listing again. It does not message or notify the buyer and does not start a conversation. It does not imply buyer interest. The seller chooses whether to open the file, add notes or activity, set a stage or follow-up, and send an explicit first message.

Manage Recommended Buyers in Buyers

Open Buyers from the Selling workspace to manage recommended buyers as ordinary buyer files. A recommended buyer you have not worked on yet carries a New recommended buyer badge and appears under Needs you, after buyers who contacted you themselves and your due follow-ups. Your Home page shows how many new recommended buyers you have, and each listing in Selling shows its own count; both open Needs you. The badge changes to Recommended buyer once you send a message, add a note, log activity, set a follow-up, or change the stage. Starring or opening the file does not change it. New recommended buyers are counted only while you have Premium; your existing recommended-buyer files stay in Buyers either way.

A recommended buyer's file keeps the buyer's name and shows Why Bizzy recommended this buyer: whether they are looking in your listing's industry and area, and when they plan to buy. It never shows their budget, proof of funds, readiness, or activity. If a recommended buyer messages you first, their file shows New inquiry like any other buyer who reached out. These files use the same stars, notes, activity, stages, follow-ups, archive, and restore controls as other files. There are no separate recommendation queues, fit labels, or review steps.

Choose Message buyer from the file, its row in the List, or its card on the Board to write a first message. Once you and the buyer have a conversation, Message buyer opens it. The composer shows how many buyer messages you have left today; at zero, sending is disabled until tomorrow. When you can't message a recommended buyer, the file says why: you already messaged them, the buyer is no longer available, Premium is required, or today's limit is reached. Messaging a recommended buyer remains Premium-gated and is checked again when you send. Bizzy applies the current listing and account eligibility, ownership, block, moderation, and daily-message safeguards. A successful Message buyer send starts the listing-specific conversation and follows normal messaging rules.

Privacy and Availability

Bizzy uses structured buyer preferences and bounded activity signals to decide which buyers to recommend. Sellers see that the file came from a Bizzy recommendation, but not your exact budget, proof-of-funds, readiness details, or private profile text. A recommendation can stop being available when account, listing, eligibility, or safety conditions change, or when the buyer turns off Let Bizzy recommend me to sellers.

Older /seller/buyer-matches and /seller/leads links redirect to the Buyers workspace. See Premium Beta for access details and Sending Messages for messaging guidance.
